While living in an apartment complex in New Jersey, I was blessed with having many duck neighbors. These semi-domesticated water fowl moved freely between the nearby ponds, creeks, and jogging trails, visiting the apartments of people known to give them food. Or really anybody who opened a bag of chips or a sliding door. They had really good hearing.
The months between Spring and Autumn were filled with the bittersweet memories of watching these ducks grow up before my eyes, and I was thrilled to commemorate them in this guest comic for Abby Howard's Junior Scientist Power Hour.
